- Tyler Zeller has set the dates for his official visits this fall and IU will be the second school that the 6′11″ five-star center from Washington has a look at. Here’s a look at the schedule, according to Justin Young of Rivals.com (subscription required):

  • I can't see Zeller not going to Purdue with the way he scheduled his visits.
  • I thought Oct. 12 was midnight madness. Maybe I am wrong. Maybe you guys know more than me, but Zeller just does not move me that much and he does not seem to be any different than his brother. A tall tweener post. If IU is going to get a POST player then I want a POST player. Zeller gives me the Ben Allen impression. If we get em' great if not ok too. I like garcia from ECC more than zeller. I know zeller is an Indiana kid but I like the kids from 09' class more...Byrd and Van Trese
  • One thing that could help IU is if Matt Roth commits to IU. Bud Mackey, Matt Roth, and Tyler Zeller played on the same AAU team in July and some of August so I would not count out IU yet.

I still think we have a good chance to get him. As long as Zeller is not a boilermaker I will be happy. I think Zeller will go to UNC.
  • I agree if we didn't get him fine, but as long as PU doesn't either. The PU game this year is going to be AWESOME, I hope we pound them by 40
  • good point kelin..

when exactly is midnight madness?? it's always around that time in october.. anyone know the official date?
  • I believe Midnight Madness is October 12th. He'll be at Notre Dame that weekend.
  • I doubt the timing of Zeller's official visits will be significant in his choice of school. He's a very intelligent person who will weigh all of the factors. Being present at Midnight Madness might make him feel good but likely wouldn't sway him. He even said he would wait for a week or two after his last visit before making a decision because he didn't want emotion to figure into his choice. That tells me visiting Purdue last won't be significant. I believe IU has a good chance to get him in large part because he'll understand what a great program Kelvin Sampson is building in his home state and he'll want to be a part of it.
  • Oh, I forgot to add that I'm impressed by the great job you're doing with your blogs. You're on top of everything relative to Hoosier hoops. Keep up the good work.
