The most likely scenario is Bawa Manuri or Angus Brandt will be the final addition to the 2009 class. Not sure if I'm sold on either guy, especially Manuri. He seems like a project. I'd be shocked if Braswell pans out, but he is planning to visit.

As far as Cheek goes, IU is still going after him but there are a lot of longstanding relationships that the coaching staff will have to overcome to land him. Despite the relationship with McLeod, I'd label Cheek as a long shot.

I really leave the worrying about the scholarship situation up to the coaching staff. Things tend to have their way of working out and I would say after this season if the playing time isn't there for a particular player, you could see a transfer.

Watford talked to DJ during the weekend of the Elite Camp, so I'm sure he put in a few good words and could relate to Watford since they are both from Alabama.

Remember earlier this year there was a lot of people wondering whether TC had signed too many wing players in '08 that were of similar qualities and talent level. I know he needed to put a team together for this season, but a lot of us wondered if we really needed all of Creek, Story, Williams, Dumes, Rivers, Roth and Jones.

The thinking was that we were so excited about TC that we figured he'd get in with some top/higher rated recruits for '09, but then not have the scholarships available. Looks like this scenario could be playing out.

This isn't meant as a huge knock on TC, I understand his hands were tied a bit. He's doing a wonderful job and I'm fired up already about the progress he's made.

I wonder what TC is thinking now about his scholarship situation and the need for bigs. There may be sentiment to unload a guard and especially in view of potential NCAA action.

o is there a time frame for NCAA action such that "offered" kids are not punished when a school offers but is not aware of sanctions due to NCAA delays ?

o If we unload a guard who should it be ? Is this the right thing to do ?

This is great news. If we could get one really talented big so that Watford could play the 3, that would be awesome. We've always been somewhat undersized in the recent past.

When was the last time we had a 6-7 wing that could play like Watford?
