Tyler Zeller heading to Tobacco Road

Started by PostmanR · 10 months ago

As expected, Washington (IN) big man Tyler Zeller announced his intentions to attend North Carolina in an afternoon press conference.

Zeller tried to downplay the role of the recent sanctions imposed on Coach Kelvin Sampson as a reason for spurning the Hoosiers, but one of his quotes following the press conference caught my attention. Zeller was […] ... Continue reading »

  • The fallout from the Davis era continues to plague the Hoosiers. Of course the recent NCAA flap did not help. Maybe next year. Indiana has several big men coming up that we need to get. Every year brings a new stud.
  • Mason Plumlee's recruitment just got a lot more important.
  • C'mon guys - he's a beanpole. Do you really think he's gonna go to UNC (or whereever else) and dominate his first couple years? He'll be a nice player, but don't lose any sleep over this one. If he's the 16th ranked player in the country, the class is very, very weak.
  • What a misleading picture you have there.
  • If K.Jones decides to go elsewhere, I am not sure if IU would pursue anyone else. There isn't anyone that I know of in the 08' class....Does anyone else think the same?

I say develope Eli, work on the 09' class...
  • If not for phone-gate, Zeller would be heading to B-Town. Thanks a lot Kelvin.
  • Get that shirt off that kid. Makes me sick....why would a kid that grew up down the road from 3 great schools go to NC. Maybe Roy made a big contribution to his church!
  • I think the spring may bring some fallout of coaching changes, usually opens up some BIG TIME players and hopefully then we might be able to land one of them then...........

I think TZ made a good choice for himself, its not dependent on what I wanted him to do, it is what it is and I for one wish him luck...........

PS: IU will be fine, Ebanks signing in a couple of days is putting the STAMP on the program that it is a place for BIG TIME players to go to........
