As someone who only just now adopted the technology, ITH facilitates RSS subscriptions. Sooo...to prevent having to check the site many times a day I'd like to point that little tidbit out.

Not sure how RSS affects hits/page views, though.

I too am an ITH addict, I've been on this site for several years now but have just recently taken the plunge to commenting. Although a wee lad, I can remember watching the 87 championship game and Joe Hillman saying "bucket....bucket..."

I would go with the last year of Mike Davis....at that point, as a strong Mike Davis guy, I could not defend him anymore....no more help is on the way, no more marco, get the hell out of here....You know it is bad when the most visited website in the state was firemikedavis.com!

Its funny you mention Charlie Miller - the most awkward moment I ever had on campus was sitting at a computer lab in Lindley Hall one evening, and looking at a projected NBA draft list, and realizing that
a.) Charlie Miller was sitting behind me (it was him - the ears were unmistakable)
b.) He had stopped what he was doing, and was peering over my shoulder, asking me to scroll down, obviously looking for his name.
c.) His name was not on the list (Andre Patterson barely clocked in in the 2nd round).

Can't say I go back that far, I started watching in the early nineties, and attended IU from 96 - 00, and grad school after that, so I watched the last 4 years of Knight and year 1 of Mike Davis (watching the angry mob march on Bryan House was probably the most memorable thing about IU basketball during my time on campus).

To echo the others here, I really enjoy this site and appreciate it (esp the "cross-over" episodes with the folks at the Hoosier-Times and IDS).

The Lance Stemler reference above was interesting timing as I just got back from Buffalouie's and my buddy and I saw the team photo from 2007-2008 and he remarked that Stemler was one of the biggest frauds in recent IU hoops history. I am sure he was a nice guy but he never panned out despite his limited hype (I call it the Charlie Miller Effect)

As for my early recollection of IU hoops, I can remember being a kid and meeting Quinn Buckner and others at the ol' Bonanza on the Bypass so from about '75 to the present.

Your site and the blogging regulars are wonderful! I live in Michigan, but get better information on the team now than when I was in Bloomington. The value you all bring sky rockets for us out of towners.

I have NEVER seen a blog community with such a positive tone where fanatics still behave like adults...even if we don't when the games are on. ;)

I echo craig big time, this website, as I stumbled upon it one day last year and the rest is history. I know it takes a lot of work to update it especially in the off season. Donating for me is nothing, it is well worth it.....

The guys and gals that post on this site are equally important. I kinda feel like this is a family....you know how families are.....arguing, crying, and laughing....

We argued about why Lance Stemler was even on the court (I still love you lance)!

We cried about Lon Kruger getting on a plane heading towards bloomington (oh I would have been pissed)

We laughed about Bruce Weber's face when EJ banked in a three in ILLINOIS! (that was the greatest bank shot I have ever seen)

I would really like to know how many generations of IU fans we have here...I go back to 1981!

Alex, I am disabled and live in a hospital extended-care facility. I email my family yadda yadda..they live in Boston and New Hampshire so I never see them. My main pleasure is my computer (thanks to wifi) and your site means so much to me. I could never thank you enough for all you do and worry constantly that you will get a job with SI or ESPN. Thanks so much for being there and doing such a professional job.
