Here is a very sobering and unfortunate thing about ALL of this.....
Here is the question....who has suffered for this and who has NOT.

    Who has....
    1. IU, the kids, and the university in many ways.
    2. The fans who supported this program, university, and KS
    3. The good kids...EJ and DJ...to point out a few, who deserved better in their final year
    4. The kids like ebanks, blair, scott martin and hummel, who had nothing to do with any of this but this snake drug them into it...
    5. Rob Senderoff...the NCAA will come down on him and he will lose his gig he just got
    6. Kellen Sampson.....you cannot convince me that when this kid gets a head coaching job somewhere someday this crap won't com up or someone will hold it against him

    Who won't suffer........
    KS
    1. he is in the pro's now and so what if he won't coach in college again, the NCAA can do whatever they want.
    2. he got paid to leave IU when he shouldn't have

Pathetic.......I wish IU would sue him to get the money back or he be banned for life from coaching in college athletics at ANY level..........

you're absolutely right. Samsung will never think about this again and the IU program will have to hear about it for years to come. I am already trying to get tickets close to the visitors bench when the Bucks come to town so i can harass Kelvin until they kick me out of there
  • hoosierfan27 · 1 year ago
F*** ya. I can get floor Pacers tix for almost any game i want. If I get a Bucks game I'm giving Kelvin a piece of my mind. What a scumbag

Big A, is there any possibility of finding another picture of KS? One without IU's logo in the background?
Can't stand to have him pictured with a background as such regards,

I'm there too...right behind the Bucks bench......this will be the longest NBA game of his life.

"Hey Kelvin......DeJuan Blair is on the phone"
"Hey Kelvin.....is your caller ID working?"
"Hey Kelvin.......Rob Senderoff is on the phone to tell you thanks a-hole"

    LOL, much better

I agree with everyone , they broke the rules, they knew the rules, they falsified the logs and lied in the investigation. By the same token I analyzed the phone calls in the report and here are some facts:

    - around 116 impermissable calls
    - 30 involved Mackey alone
    - All but a few were Senderoff
    - 74 calls were less than 2 minutes , NCAA usually counts this as messages vs calls
    - many calls were within 15 minutes of each other, ( anyone ever drop a call on a cell ? )
    - NCAA counted Morris twins as one kid
    - some trigger calls were technically 30 days apart but in a disallowed calander month

While the NCAA may be technically correct they are certainly spinning this in the worst possible light by counting the less than 2 minute calls and the Morris twins as one kid. They could have spun this as 26 Impermissable "contacts" as opposed to 116 impermissable "placed calls".

we all know Sampson is a cheatin' scumbag ex-college coach forever.......why do we continually have to have this shoved in our face, isn't there anything else to report on....I'd rather talk about the IU Woman's softball team than Sampson. We give him so much press, and for what, so we can keep reliving the days he coached here.............aaahhhh

Fortunately for all of you, the readers, I will never write about IU softball.

On a side note, I haven't read or heard anything about Negedu's visit.....does anybody have any info on that or any feedback from anybody involved with his visit
  • Alex · 1 year ago
The usual stuff...he liked the visit, he wants to take the rest of his visits...If I had to call it right now, I'd say it's either IU or Memphis.
  • tberry · 1 year ago
It won't be to IU. Take it to the bank!!!
  • Alex · 1 year ago
    Are you going with Memphis?
  • tberry · 1 year ago
Just think he really wants to be part of a NCAA Championship. I see
no way that IU gets him there in the time he will have as a player.
  • MemphisHoosier · 1 year ago
If he wants to be part of an NCAA title team then it would be Tennessee. Memphis isn't gonna be that great this year. Evans will be a star but the rest of the team couldn't guard anyone with a badge and a gun. Their shooting is also suspect. IU will be very solid in a few years so hopefully he'll think about that. I hope the Hoosiers pull it off but as long as he doesn't head to Tiger High i'm happy.

I am having a hard time with the poll results. Is Rose really that much more valuable to get 80% of the votes ? Bayless a scoring point guard the same size as Gordon is only 4% ? IU fans are only 18% biased toward Gordon ? ..........wow
  • Kelin Blab · 1 year ago
I agree, lets not forget EJ is an extremely talent player who is a better shooter, scorer, defender, and bigger than D. Rose.........and in a head to head matchup EJ at his lunch. So that poll must be weighing last season only..........
  • JerryCT · 1 year ago
I believe you have always taken the position that EJ was actually hurt by the lack of coaching he received from KS et al. I fully agree that so much talent enters the draft as still a medium rare talent...........not raw but not done either.
