Great digs.....Forde is the ONLY one that I religiously read at the ....well, you know. Plus, one of the few guys you would love to have a beer with.
  • Zac · 1 year ago
Great post...I like these q&a's. Something to keep up.

good stuff guys...this is what I'm talkin bout, now if you can get some Q & A time with Forde how about an interview with some players or coaches? maybe Sampson himself? the sky's the limit keep up the good work...

Great 'Q and A'. This is why I visit the site every day.

I know that I would always take the side of Bobby Petrino in any discussion. dws.
  • T · 1 year ago
Nicely done. In my opinion Forde and Bilas are the two best College Basketball guys from the Worldwide Leader. It was interesting to hear his perspective on Sampson and the Hoosiers.

(And I'd take it as a compliment if a D-Bag like Bobby Petrino wanted to punch me in the face...)

    Good Q & A.

Personally, I gotta go with DJ for Big Ten Player of the Year, but you can't deny that he's probably having most of his success because of the attention EJ gets.
  • Timmy · 1 year ago
The best hoops source on espn is Jimmy Dykes. Forde is a tool whose 'expertise' is only kentucky, louisville and IU - ever notice 90% of his columns are about those 3? Bilas is ACC biased.
  • Mark · 1 year ago
His answer to the Sampson question was right on.
  • Brett · 1 year ago
great job ITH staff. it shows a lot about the work you guys are doing to track down a reputable espn writer. really interesting read and excellent questions asked. well done.
  • Brett · 1 year ago
Bilas is ACC biased?? didn't know that, damn..

    Big A,
In my opinion, Colin Cowherd has by far the most talent of anyone on the radio. The only time I find myself getting annoyed with him is when he's banging on my team or city. However, I find myself agreeing with him when he's doing it to other teams. Like the old saying goes " The truth hurts." Colin does flame occasionally to get people fired up, but they all do. Just my opinion...

Dykes is an SEC apologist and UK apologist. He is the one that said "if GT had Gordon, they would have won"==an idiot. Forde's comments about CKS are biased. Need I remind you we are talking about phone calls--not paying players like UCLA or UK.

All you need to know about Shrutebag, er, Colin Cowherd is at the below link:

Timmy: I disagree about Bilas being ACC biased. He went to Duke but I've never really heard that affect any of his commentary, and he certainly knows a LOT about every other conference in college basketball. Dickie V on the other hand? There's a guy who's ACC biased.

The biggest tool on ESPN is Chris Berman. There. I said it.
  • PostmanE · 1 year ago
People, please: Trying to figure out who the biggest tool among Chris Berman, Colin Cowherd, and a host of other ESPN personalities is like trying to make value judgments about different religions. Let's just say that all of their merits*, and their relative claims to douchiness, and move on.

    * Except Scientology. That's just nonsense.
  • Stephen · 1 year ago
Amazing that people can get so riled up over the merits of varied ESPN analysts.
  • Hoosier Hound · 1 year ago
Great job getting an interview with the best college sports writer in the country guys. Very nice and interesting read.

Thanks Pat Forde and the ITH guys.

    Big A:

Ditto on Cowherd. What a complete tool. He deserves every negative thing that's ever been said about him and far more. Nice interview with Forde - I found it very interesting.

If Georgia Tech had Eric Gordon they would have won this game...yeah Jimmy dykes said that in November while doing the IU GT game. Well if your aunt had balls she'd be your uncle. Dykes is a former UK assistant and very bias toward UK even when he does other games he just flat out isn't good. Oh yeah Cowherd sucks to and most of the world wide leader in sports employees are tools. Good interview Big A keep it up guys.

Tony...I agree with you about Colin, I like his show but disagree with him when it comes to some things...i.e. "Tony Dungy"

Bilas is solid and so is Forde....One of the benefits of not having the BTN is I have yet to hear Billy Packer ONE time this season....NICE!

    Sincerely ...my ears

Sherron, do your homework. Forde had nothing but great things to say about IU after the IU-UK game. He wrote a solid piece on the Crawford vs Crawford rivalry.

I even appreciate his sincere honesty regarding the Sampson situation in the Q&A above.

ITH, keep up the good work!

I guess now we know the kind of people who like Shrutebag's show...

What Cowherd did to the BigLead was pretty f'n lowclass. He's just another Jim Rome type
  • Big A · 1 year ago
For the record, I have no problem with people giving their opinion. In fact, it's encouraged and it's what makes this place great. However, personal attacks are another thing. Keep that in mind before you decide to post something.

    Big A

ESPN's 3 worst in no particular order are Berman, Vitale and Stu Scott. Forde is excellent. Justs answers the questions with solid information and no schtick like the 3 mentioned above.
