DC area Hoosiers: Here is the link to DeMatha's schedule. The game on Fri. Dec 11 against Archbishop Carroll looks like a good one to go see VO play. Thoughts?

Along the Pat Forde line, the true saviors (too strong?) of the program are Watford and Creek. Thes seem to be two uber-talented classy kids that had their tickets punched to anywhere, but chose to take a leap of faith to be the founding fathers of the re-start of the IU tradition. I see a lot of message board talk of how we need to sign a 5 star to be "back", but these two have already planted the seeds.

This is totally off-topic, but wanted to point out this article from Pat Forde on ESPN.com. He highlights how his top 10 programs historically all had peaks and valleys during the last decade. After reading some of the valleys programs like UNC and OSU had and then how quickly they were able to turn things around, it just made me feel real positive about IU and CTC.

UCLA had a 19 loss season and within 3 years went to 3 straight Final Fours. UNC had a 20 loss season and three years later won the National title. OSU sat out the '05 tourney because of violations and 2 years later was in the championship game. IU just needs a recruit or two to break our way and we'll be back in the national spotlight before we know it. It can be done!

If IU gets a 2010 class of VO, Sheehey, and Selby or Kendrick....it will be one of the most athletic classes IU has ever had.....and I would begin to think about dancing in 2010/11

From the way things are shaping up it looks like we could have one really athletic 2010 class with some height too. All three of our highest expectations are around 6-5 or 6-6 and can get up. I like VO a lot. I think he will become a fan favorite fast.
