at least your day is over........us west coast Hoosiers have to hear this bad news and still have many more hours to waste at the office

To be honest, this doesn't surprise me a bit. We won't be going for a championship for at least another 3 + years, and, from comments said in the past, a championship is something that is very important to him.

    Good bye Negedu......

I wondered if we could be a long shot given his comments about a championship, the pessimistic little voice in my head said maybe he is just coming more as a courtesy or as part of his due diligence...but regardless, I am surprised to hear him say the visit was just "okay"...would have expected more positive comments even if we were third on his list. Guess it wasn't meant to be.

I never know what to think about their comments... John Decker from hoosiernation talked to Negedu after his visit and he said "it went great"... I'd love to criticize you guys for hanging on his every word but i do it too.

Rivals reports that after talking to Negedu about his IU visit he said it was a "good experience". I don't think that there is too much we can read into his comments unless he says something overwhelmingly positive about any of the schools he's visiting. They also report that Matt Roth was one of the players who played in the pickup game with Negedu.

Hutch is also reporting that if the assistant at Memphis who recruited Negedu to Arizona wants to be considered for the Arizona job when Lute Olson leaves that it wouldn't sit well in Tucson if he landed in Memphis.

I don't think that will be any deterrance for Calipari to push hard for Negedu to come to Memphis.

I don't think he was ever coming here, why would a one and done or 2 and done player come to a school where its highly unlikely you are going to win a title. Not to mention the magnifying glass you'll be under for academics and off court antics. This isn't saying he doesn't care about school or whatever, I have no idea. I know if I was a 1 and done I wouldn't get a crap about my grades other than staying eligible. If he is as good as they say, he will get playing time no matter where he goes. I don't see Calipari not going after him because one of his assistants wants the head coaching job at Arizona. Not to mention I'm sure Arizona will be going after a bigger name than this guy when Olson retires.
