Inside the Hall: Memphis lands East Chicago Central’s Angel Garcia

I'm not that upset about this, nor am I surprised. I did think he would be a tough get after Memphis entered the top two.

Best of luck to Garcia at Memphis--next year?

I think once Wes got involved, IU's chances diminished greatly. This seems like Derrick Rose - the sequel.

Not crushed about this one, thought we had a solid shot but I will eat crow on this one. The good news is, he is NOT a Boilermaker. If we get either zeller or jones, I will be thrilled. After looking at Garcia and Ebanks, their playing styles could have bumped heads some but Angel enjoy Beal street.

It doesn't seem to me like it was that big of a loss. Looks like we had his position covered already.

    Ian,

You never want to lose an in-state kid, but Garcia is primarily a perimeter player. IU needs a legitimate big man and while I would have liked to see Garcia at IU, he's probably better suited to play at Memphis.

I hope there are good tudors at Memphis. Hasta Angel....

I think its a great oppurtunity for him to take his game to another level and memphis should make it back to the title game with a player like angel i no angle personaly and hes a great player that dont like to lose and is very aggresive
