David Williams- I am as optimistic as one can be. I often try and distort unlikely scenarios into optimism when it come to IU basketball. The more I think about David Williams the more I scratch my head. Yes we need role players but not know with the situation we are in with limited schollies. I hope TC wasn't toooo risky on this one.

Kyrie Irving- This one is gna b a roller coaster. IU has a great chance, and I think he will choose IU becase of the outstanding journalism degree he can get at IU. His parents seem really into IU and his dad has been spotted numerous times in Cream and Crimson shirts.

Matt Carlino- He is very intriguing. Due to injury he was out of shape this spring. He is a kid that grew and matured very young. I only hope he hasnt peaked because he has a lot of potential and a lot of work to do. He really needs to work on his perimeter defense and lateral quickness if we wnts to be at all effective at the Big Ten level. He was a 5 star on scout at one time. He is a 3 star on rivals.

Marquis Teague- I am as lost as anyone could be with him. I think IU has a chance, but from talking to people including his best friend IU is pretty equal with a couple other schools. He is very quick and would fit perfectly with creans system but he definatley has an attitude problem at times. I hope we land him but I doubt we will.

2012- Rivera is a great fundamental player with exceptional upper and lower body strength. He is a great passer and high character kid. His one drawback that really will hurt him and is keeping him from being a top national prospect is his quickness. He often plays heavy on his feet and on defense will use his hands because his lateral quickness keeps him back. He also has no hops at all. He lacks quick explosion speed. I would compare him to Malik Story without the turnovers. Marrero is very high potentially. Great frame with good speed. Needs to work on his shot and open court dribbling. Often takes plays off. Could be really good. Ron patterson is very quick with a wiry frame. Can jump out of the gym and runs the court like no other.

I am looking forward to this July for a few reasons.....

David Williams - He is turning into Bawa. No footage, No info, No nothing. My personal thoughts I like what he offers....6'7 wing, strong academics, strong AAU program, and versatility. Not to mention, I like the kids confidence. NO he isn't ranked nor has the fanfare as Kyrie, but he knows his game....I say give him a shot.

Kyrie Irving - My confidence is improving the more I hear and I like the interest in IU's academics. I think he is at minimum a 3year guy for IU and I really really want his committment.

Marquis Teague - The opposite of Kyrie Irving. Confidence fading. I think we have a shot, I would put it at 50/50, but I put L'Ville at 75/25! I plan to go see him this week at the hoosier shootout.

Chrishawn Hopkins - WHO!!! Oh you know the kid who says he has always been an IU fan and went to IU's elite camp and Crean talked to him. He is an Indy kid who is flying under the radar.....athletically sick....a youtube legend....moved back to Indy from Vegas, turned around his academics.....according to some, he would be a steal for anyone who signs him. Plan to see him play this week if I can..

2012 class - Crean take your pick....the list is getting long. Hoosierboy, you are 100% dead-on with DVR....an unathletic stud, who I believe has stopped growing. I like Hollowell and Patterson in that class, but there is a ton of talent in that group all over the state.

Recruiting the Region - Will we land one of the kids from the Gary Area? Ideally.....Branden Dawson.

Extras -
Anyone over 6'8 - Will Crean find a BIG MAN. Yes we have had this debate, I like both sides of the debate, BUT I still want a BIG MAN........at least one

Are we done recruiting Dom Fergunson or are we still in the mix?

Can't wait to see how some of this stuff works out. I have been worried about Kyrie since I've heard him saying some good things about kentucky. I think he is the key to our future.

I'm looking to you guys to keep me updated on how its all shaking down up north.

Oh Boy! Let the fun begin:
Kyrie Irving - I have been trying to keep up with Irving. And I think we have a good shot and getting him. But one thing concerns me. Last month he was talking about playing with his high school team mate Michael Gilchist. ( who has Kentucky high on his list). Plus Kentucky is recruiting Irving. So it is a question of a better education of following a team mate. My question is why are we not recruiting Gilchist?

Marquis Teague - I think we get Teaque. He mentioned how close it is to home. Plus I would like the Indiana player to think of all the fans that followed them in high school, a chance to watch them in collage

David Williams- Dont know a lot about him. But have to believe coach saw something in him to let him come. And I have faith in coach.

Dominique Ferguson- Not a big fan of Ferguson. Was going to Kentucky, then tuck and ran first chance he got. I don't see him as a team player. This is the first player I hope goes to Purdue
