Inside the Hall: Jordan Crawford versus Joe Crawford: Who ya got?

  • Corey James · 2 years ago
Joe Crawford for sure...don't underestimate older brother strength (love Jordan though and he will prob be better if he stays for 4)...no matter how much bigger, faster, or stronger little brothers get they are never a match for that older brother strength...on a more serious note I hope they get to guard each other on both ends of the court I always enjoyed playing against my brother and being that they only have one year against one another...LETS GO HOOSIERS!!!

yeah when I play my younger brother it gets nasty. All bets are off. He can drive better than I. So what do I do? I take him down to the ground! With him I'm a poor mans Kevin Mchale.

What's the latest on Legion? First he was leaving. Now maybe he's staying. Maybe just a ploy for a higher salary...

Hey Steve, if you would like, i can set up a 3-way call between Legion and Samson... ;)

Most media pundits said that Joe Crawford was in Coach Billy Gillispie's "doghouse" early in the season. In actuality, Joe was recovering from a knee surgery and wasn't 100% able to play defense. The last two games have shown Joe's deft (but streaky) scoring with a marked improvement on on-ball defense. I also saw Joe make smart passes on the drive -- something that most Wildcat fans thought Joe was incapable of doing. I hope you guys have a great individual defending guard, or Joe is going to light it up.

Hey, does your Crawford (Jordan) have about 2 or 3 palming infractions called on him per game? I wonder if that runs in the Crawford bloodline.

I'm semi-eagerly looking forward to Saturday. I don't think there's a whole lot of in-team chaos but any distractions is not good in this point of our season. Plus, I grew up about a mile south of the Ohio River in Western Kentucky, and I want to make sure the Hoosier fans who live in my home county don't have any reason to put up their red flags this year.

    Gimel,

It's SamPson. It is pretty typical for a Kentucky fan to spell something wrong.

Our "great individual defending guard" will be Eric Gordon. Have you heard of him? I hope you guys have three great individual defending guards, or Gordon is going to have 40 pts.

The palming infractions do run in the bloodline. Why is this still a rule?

    Henderson or Owensboro?

Assembly Hall is louder than Rupp Arena.

    Sampson > Gillespie

Is Patterson ready to be drenched in his first real road game?
  • Alex · 2 years ago
Tell Patterson not to flick his buggers on
our Assembly Hall court. Oh that's right-he
likes to eat them. ha ha ha

Calbert: I didn't think Gordon was that good of a individual defender, but of course you would know better than I. And he's 100% for the game? I hope so, I'd like to see him in action again this year.

And yeah, the Kentucky backcourt isn't that big. We may have Ramon Harris -- one of the few decent individual defenders who isn't hurt right now -- guarding Gordon. So I'm expecting around 40 too. :(

Assembly Hall may be louder; but it always sounds louder in a small high-school-ish arena like that. :) I'm kidding, of course. I wish I had the chance to see Assembly Hall when I was in school, but wasn't the General leery of getting beat by Kentucky on your home court? ;)

My hometown is near Owensboro. Got to see the start of now-Tennessee head coach Bruce Pearl at the University of Southern Indiana, who took great pride sticking it to Owensboro's Kentucky Wesleyan College.

Gordon is an excellent on the ball defender and extremely athletic. He and Sampson have both said that he will be playing in the game on Saturday. No word if he is yet 100%.

Yes, Assembly Hall is smaller than the NBA style Rupp Arena, but it is more unique and will always have a better tradition than Rupp.

From Evansville and got to see BP and USI as well. Hope he continues his dominance as the #1 team in the SEC.
