17-13 the year after their head coach died, so that was definitely a distraction. plus they return all the key parts from that team and if you add to that a solid recruiting class, they were a good team. Plus Wake is a pretty tough place to play, what with those tie-dye shirts and all. This will be a tough match-up. Their presence down low will be hard for IU to match

I’m not that familiar with who will returning to Wake Forest or how good they are but last year they were 17-13. That is not very good and I can’t see how a few big freshmen will make them world beaters, so I don’t see why they are seen to be a difficult challenge. They will not be a “freebee” and we will not be that good but it will be be a more competitive match-up than many are expecting.

Crean is a recruiting beast, just saw another new 09' kid who has put IU on his list along with this kid in the 08' who has IU ahead 60-40 above his other choices....solid.

I don't care how good he ends up being, it is an interesting story. It is good to see a guy pass up a scholarship to fulfill a dream to play for IU, regardless of the coach.

I beleive Steph Curry was also considered "too small" and "not skilled enough" to play for big time schools. Not saying Moore will turn out to be a player of Curry's caliber, but don't write him off just because he's 5'10".

It will be interesting to see how Wake reacts in a year where they won't be feeding off the Skip Prosser emotion. I'm unsure of whether Deano Gaudio is a good coach, or merely was able to manage the team amid a storm of emotions.

We'll see. Maybe I'll make it up to Winston-Salem for the game.

Big men are not desireable in the Crean system unless they can handle and pass the ball. I for one am not so worked up about "how big" we can get . I am much more interested in how athletic and team oriented our inside guys are. That will fit Crean's latest coaching style

You have to be kidding with even posting something about Daniel Moore. He is a midget and will do nothing for this team, with the exception of having us fans someone to laugh at when a Hoosier player dunks the ball or hits a three. This is more proof of how bad of shape we are in for next year...when people talk about garbage players like this.

Doesn't look good but will be fun rooting for the upsets. Bad part is, yeah we will have an offense finally, most of the players we have aren't the type of guys TC usually runs in his offense. I think we might get a small miracle or two in the recruiting but I don't think we will fully solve any problems just yet. I can honestly say next year I don't really care how we do as long as they look like their progressing skill wise. Maybe an upset or two and if we make the Tourney I think next season will be a big success. I'm kinda comparing us to U of K this year. We're kinda in the same boat but possibly without Patterson.

I really am encouraged by all the talks about possible big men coming in this year (something we've really missed for awhile). I don't know about you guys but given the great recruiter Crean is, I think that he has some tricks up his sleeve and could really pull off a couple miracles given the odds we are currently stacked up against.

Guards? Yeah they have guards, but two of the best bigs in the 2008 class are also going there. We don't have anything in the post at all, except for Kyle Taber and DeAndre Thomas. And let's be real, neither of them are game changers.

At some point IU will have to play and beat tough nonconference teams...why not start NOW. ....I would not be so sold on the Wake match up against IU. They are guard strong but IU could be also and next year we will have the unstopable force of B-Mac. Not to mention IU will have an actual offense next year and a coach who wants to see players develope.

The PU Duke Matchup is a good one and I hope a large sink hole evolves that morning at the campus ghost town Mackey Arena and the game is cancelled

IU's nonconference schedule so far for next year is ridiuclous. the maui has UNC, Notre Dame, and Texas, all who could be top 10 next season depending on who leaves for the draft. also Oregon, Alabama, St. Joes are in there, playing any combination of those teams will be tough. now throw in tho the mix Wake Forest, potentially a top 25 team next year on the road, and IU could be looking at a tough start to next season. "Stacked in the paint" means trouble for IU, who will lack a reliable low post threat, at least at the beginning of the season

Wow...Wake? I don't like that at all. I mean I like that our schools are playing each other, but matchup-wise they have the advantage.
