I am having a hard time remembering the last 6'8" wing player IU had with the versatile skill set Watford brings. Once he develops the strength to consistently post people up, he can be an offensive force. I would really love to have two explosive scorers (Creek and Watford) on the floor at the same time. There are not a lot of teams with two premier defenders they may need to stop a guard and a 6'8" wing.
He seems like a smart kid that cares about improving. Another great addition to the Hoosiers.

This is the guy I have been looking forward to seeing. I have huge expectations for him amd I think he will be an absolute star by his senior year.

What I like about CW is he will be what we expect or exceed that this year. I think he has some really really good tools and skills that IU hasn't had in awhile and this team lacks. I see him, Creek, and Elston battling for top Frosh at IU and in the Big Ten....

Christian has the character that reflects what Coach Crean looks for in recruits! This will be fun watching him play!!

No one on the court for us last season was as athletic. He and Creek are big game changers in that regard. I agree with JerryCT on his potential for impacting the season.

His interview showed me a good hearted kid who will fit into a team concept and not make it all about himself.

I feel he will be the key to our season and the biggest unknown as to what upside we have right now. He can do things that we sorely missed last year. ie rebound, score around the basket and from mid range. Our offense last year had no one the other team "had" to stop. I think watford is that guy. This will loosen defenses on Pritchard and Dumes if the opponents try to double Watford to stop him.
