Is Bawa Muniru the final piece to the 2009 puzzle?

So, I think if there’s anything we’ve asked for, it’s a legit big man in the 2009 class. Or any class, really. (Perhaps it’s just me that’s asking for that. But outside of D.J., we’ve struggled up front in recent years.)

    I have to admit Bawa was not the first thing that caught my eye. At least I'm being honest. What I want from 6'11" basketball players is athleticism, and the ability to be mean. Those two traits make for a possible big time star come junior year.

    Glad to see IU is using every available, ahem, recruiting resource during these on-campus visits.

    Ship a verbal from Muniru or Braswell sometime in the next week or so and I will be a happy fan. Although all the recruits coming in next year will still be freshmen, add that to the current freshmen with a year or experience and my senior year will be a lot more exciting than I was expecting it to be a few months ago. I can thank Tom Crean for that.

    Slightly saddening article in Tuesday's IDS about the state of IU athletics. Between our flagship sport getting back on track under Crean and the new facilities scheduled completion over the next couple years, lets hope IU is on its way back to the top of the BigTen.

    ...and exactly how does Bill Lynch demonstrate what is wanted? Then why was he hired? As I always say, " don't look at what people say but at what they do, if you want to see what hey really believe." Bill Lynch has and does not fill any of Greenspan's stated requirements to be hired.

    Good advice. Similar to political campaigns, look at how they've voted in the past, not what they say on the campaign trail.

    Ya that is Foster probably I lived there a couple years ago and all the b-ball players lived in Foster Harper. Heard a funny story about Armon Basset the other day from a girl who lived on his floor freshman year. She said that on numerous occasions he would get hammered, strip naked, and run around the floor asking any girl he saw if she wanted to f*** him. What a joke.

    I thought I read the other day that he was leaving Charis because of their ncaa issues.

    edit: it looks like he'll end up at Central Park Christian in Birmingham.

    I suppose it is against NCAA rules to assist his HS choice to eventually qualify until after he commits............or maybe IU cannot help after he commits.........don't know

    I actually like a few calculated risks on 7ft "projects" because they tend to stay 4 years and appreciate their opportunity

    I was really expecting someone to make a crack about the four brothers and the four white girls... It's good to see everyone keeping it clean.

    Bawatibaw is huge though, love to see him in the cream and crimson in 09.
