    PHEW!! THANK GOSH!!!

i was very worried that our class of '09 or '10 would be affected -- good thing TC can put this behind him now and recruit like any other D1 coach!!! GO HOOSIERS!!

I have to say this is the best case result. I was worried we'd lose more scholarships and a one year post season ban. I am glad IU stepped up to the plate and imposed the self-sanctions last year to curb a possible smite from the NCAA. I guess all the money we threw at Ice Miller payed off.

Now, lets throw our support behind the new Hoosiers.

    BEAT ST. JOE'S!

Now all of those prime recruits will not have to wonder if they will suffer at IU. They now know that the only way IU will go is up and that they can be a historic part of the program.

To be clear, my reading of the report is that any institution that hires Sampson must agree to enforce all of the draconian penalties the NCAA has issued (i.e. not being able to recruit at all whatsoever). If they do not want to enforce those penalties, then they have to come forward and show cause why those penalties are unnecessary and should not be enforced. As a practical matter, no institution is going to hire a head coach who is banned from having any contact with recruits.

Nobody needed to worry about a post-season ban this year. IU's program completely crumbled over the last 10 months. That was probably enough for the NCAA. At least it's done and we start from right here.

thank god. while no one thought that iu deserved even more penalties, i was pretty sure that the ncaa would take advantage of the opportunity to finish picking on iu. fortunately they didn't. after watching the games yesterday and today we have definitely been punished enough.

i'm excited to finally close this book and move on!
