BigA OR ANYONE, A LITTLE HELP does each team in the tournament play three games?
  • Alex · 1 year ago
Yes, each team is guaranteed three games.

No surprise the Tar Heels get to take on Chaminade. They seem to pull in a lot of luck recently.

Win or lose (And as optimistic as I am, it's probably lose), I'm so glad to see the Hoosiers taking on real teams this early in the season. Playing non-conference cupcakes may pad our schedule but it leaves us totally unprepared for the Big Ten season. This season more than any in recent memory we're going to need a lot of hard work to get this team competitive. Trial by fire is better than no trial at all.

    Well said...could not agree more.

I, for one, am pretty happy we're not playing Chaminade. Wow...this field is stacked.

OK this is very out there and proposterous but what if IU did win this could you imagine how cool that would be

I think IU could beat ND. Big Luke will be tough, but we have Big TJ.....he is my sleeper fantasy IU pick this year....you can't be 7ft tall and average 3reb and 2pts all of your life...

    Todd Lindeman?

No offense to Jobe (I'm sure he's a fine lad), but Harangody has a good shot to be a first or second team All-American. I don't see him having much trouble with Jobe (or anyone else on IU's front line).

Then again, this is coming from a guy who saw Harangody absolutely destroy Louisville in person last year in Freedom Hall in a ND loss.

Big A oh ye of little faith.....I will say this, there is not question, Kyle Taber will be guarding big luke......

FYI: The Maui tournament ranks each team and IU drew a number 7 seed in the tournament and they face the no. 2 seeded ND. Chaminade is the number 8 seed and will play UNC, which is believe it or not a no. 1 seed.

........And the crowd goes WILD!!! lol that would be nice though
  • pacino · 1 year ago
As nice as that sounds lets get real!!!!!!!! Wake up! ND wins 84 65. Keepin it real. Hope for the best but im just not going to set myself up 4 dissapointment. GO HOOSIERS!!

Agreed. If it were later in the year with more games under their belt, things would be different. However, this is the first real game for a team featuring a slew of new players. The Fink to Taber chemistry isn't enough for an IU victory here.

There was an article on scout about two foreign big men with Indiana interest does anyone know more about this situation or if they are good or expecting offers?
  • DJW · 1 year ago
Big ND fan here, but, IU Basketball is part of my soul. Little doubt that ND will win but IU will need all competetive preseason competition in order to prepare for a very unique season unfolding. Playing top competition, prior to the start of the Big Ten Schedule, will not only help develop team chemistry but also enhance their chances against strong competion during it's conference run.

    Go Hoosiers

maybe we can beat St. Joes, though even that might be a stretch...if we lose both early games then I would assume we end up playing Chaminade.
