Purdue is ranked in the top five when it comes to engineering programs in the world, not country! The world!!! Brenden will not only become a great b-ball player, but he'll also receive a stste of the art education in the process. Don't listen to the haters Mr. Dawson. Im also from Gary myself. Big Dog Glen Robinson is my first cousin. Purdue is where it's at homeboy. Boiler up!!!! West Lafayette leaves one asking where the hell is East Lafayette? The singular advantage PU has over IU is.....PU is closer to Chicago. Alex should have a thread dedicated to Purdue from ITH. I wouild love to contribute. Back in the day, when the air of Dunn meadow was filled with frisbees and a smell somewhat like burning leaves we did a road trip to Purdue to see the Dead. Some farm person actually yelled "yeeeeeehah!". I still get creeped out over the memory of that night. Jerry Garcia mentioned it as a "worst moment" in his career. (shudder )

Re: High majors in pursuit of Branden Dawson

For a 6'6'' guy to pulling down 15-16 boards per game screams hustle. I love that he is talking about IU with words like hustle, play hard, never give up. Those were my biggest beefs with Davis and Sampson and that's what made a 6-25 season digestible. Go Coach Crean and go IU....get in the region baby!

Re: High majors in pursuit of Branden Dawson

One of the interesting things about this recruit is it echoes Crean's pledge to recruit the state. Being from the "Region/Gary" Purdue has been the most visible, so to get a kid to consider IU and hopefully go there would be huge..HUGE.
