  Not sure why Williams , with one pretty good game, is the "brightest star". We need this kind of game from him but he has been largely absent.
  
  Seems a little severe when w/o Pritchard we are sunk . Story has been out playing Williams until tonight when you count defense etc the entire range of what is a basketball game.

  He said might be. A lot of people think he has good potential and tonight he showed some of it. If he can keep this up then he "might be the brightest star on the team this season."
  
  I'm pretty sure that's all he meant by it.

  I LOVED the ball movement for some pretty good looks on the rim.
  
  Williams looked comfortable & solid, I see nothing but upside for him as the season progresses. I with you hoosiergirl, I would like to see him playing like he did today in future games & continues to improve. JerryCT may be right, even if he is not the brightest star in performance, Nick may be in enthusiasm & leadership.
  
  p.s. I hope that Jones heals quickly as that was one brutal (yet clean) screen.

  I won't gloat about D. Moore too much but.....
  *The kid pushed the tempo which was good, late in the game worked the clock well. He makes me look forward to Jordan Hulls who is an absolutely stud PG.
  
  *Pritchard is a good player and a very smart player. For years you know who tried to get DJ to pass out of double team but was unable to inbetween coaching and phone calls. Pritchard over and over found open shooters all over the court.......
  
  * Matt 'Freakin" Roth misses well which is why he should keep shooting. For his sake I would like to see him put it on the floor some more but gave some good minutes defensively.
  
  * I Like Story more and more and glad to see Crean give him some extra minutes at the point.
  
  * Pritchard with another post will be great.
  
  *Tijan is a big man. .....and that is pretty much it.
  
  * This was a good win against an NCAA team.
  
  * Whiteman Jr. SHould be at Indiana but we know why he isn't .
  
  * Wake Forrest is very good, ofcourse with an Indiana kid runing the show
  
  * I enjoy watching this team get better, the crowd seemed into it today, the students need to get in the gym....

  The more I see of TC, the more I am "falling in love" with him as a coach. He is such a tremendous father figure to the young players coming in. The episode with Tom bending over Verdell on the floor after the accident, conforting him and telling him he is going to be okay.....I don't even think KS would be able to bend over that far. We are going to be a Elite 8 or Final 4 team by 2012. Marquette, you lost one of the greatest coaches ever, and we are sure glad he came here!

  Williams is definitely the brightest star the team has going forward and by the end of the season will be the best player. Plays tough D, and doesn't force it on offense. Pritchard was playing against unathletic Ivy Leaguers and looked just as unathletic. He should score against the people guarding him. He is good but I'm not convinced he has the upside of Williams. As for Moore I don't see it. He is another one with the athletic abilities of an Ivy Leaguer. He doesn't shoot or defend. Watched some of Wake Forest last night and they are very athletic down low and on the perimeter. If Pritchard holds up against some of their players I'll change my tune, until then I'm not convinced

  Assuming that people base their conclusions on the first 6 games then excuse me if I share with everyone the facts . Mr "doesn't force it" Williams leads the team in turnovers for the season and has led in 3 games including your favorite game Cornell. He seems consistent in the TO department and in erratic elsewhere with the lowest A/TO ratio on the team.
  
  Contrast with Pritchard and you will see he has led in scoring 4 of 6 games and is way better than Williams in every category but one for the season and in every game. Those are the facts and strangely enough also what I see in every game.
  
  I hope you are right about Williams and I too am pulling for him but for the time being there is no case for the Hyperbole

  The difference is called upside, you know projecting what will happen at the end of the season....Prichard can barely jump above the rim. Do you really see Pritchard getting that much better or more athletic beause I don't. Williams is a guard and a freshman, he ofcourse is going to have a lot of turnovers he handles the ball more in on the perimeter, not to mention not having a great point guard to get them into the offense. Not to mention playing against more athletic players. However, he plays tough defense, doesn't appear to be intimidated by other teams players and does not force shots ala Dumes. Now if Pritchard can come out against Wake and guard Aminu and score on their front line then I'll happly say I'm wrong. But when I see a guy consistently outrebounded on the offense and defensive end against no one great (haragandy is not all that athletic) that makes me worry. Wake got 62 rebounds against Baylor, so we'll see what we can do on the boards

  Pritchard has definitely been the "star" up to this point, but the best thing that could happen for this team would be for Williams to pass him by, which would mean we'd have two consistent performers.
  
  I have to say that Dumes has been most disappointing to me so far. We could have a nice little team if Pritchard keeps his play up, Williams develops and Dumes becomes the calming steady influence we all expected. Of course it would also be nice if Roth would find his jumper, I'm sure he will he's just adjusting to the speed of the game.
