Empty is exactly how I felt while watching the game last night. Not even once did I get excited just even kiel the whole game. Which is definitely not the norm for this Hoosier. Man I hope Sampson gets canned soon so I can go back to watching the games with pleasure. Hell the only reason I watched the game last night is because I still love every player on this team. Boy this makes me feel like shit I can't wait for this nightmare to end.

Yeah, I agree. I was pretty pumped up during the game, but that was because of the adrenaline of being there. It was exciting to watch, but afterward I was definitely a little less upset than I normally would be.

Gassaway pretty much summed up how I feel. So much talent and so many who deserve better

Does anyone remember the name of the person within IU's administration who said, right after Knight was fired, that the university was going to "de-emphasize sports" at IU? I just hope this utterly clueless person isn't involved in hiring a new coach, should it come to that.

I was at the game last night, a great Big Ten basketball game by any account even though it was a painful loss. But empty seems like exactly the right word. The game was a good distraction from all this nonsense, and a good release for all this emotion. Being able to cheer on DJ and the players served as some good therapy for this mental anguish I'm feeling. But the timeouts were just excruciating. When the game would stop for any sort of extended amount of time, my mind would immediately come back to this other stuff, and I would just feel sick, empty.

This situation is surreal. IU is 20-4 (should be 21-3 if it wasn't for the polar bear), and instead of hopeful joy, all we feel is shameful hopelessness. The administration and sampson owe the fans an apology. This is my senior year and all I wanted was "2008" on one of the banners in the hall. Yesterday was a big step backwards. I hope the administration takes the high-road, fixes this situation, and makes a smart, long-term hire that will return our program to prosperity. IU fan for life.

The IU President needs to suspend Sampson (with pay as to not breech any contract), just get him off the sidelines during the game so I do not have to look at him. Make Dan the interrim coach and figure all this out after the season (let him have his day in NCAA court, then IU will only have to pay him 1 months salary. I think James Hardy hit the nail on the head "Kicked in the nutz"
