    Prediction... Look out Hoosiers!!

    IU 73
    Xavier 69
  • Sherron Wilkerson · 2 years ago
My prediction, Eric Gordon will dunk on some unsuspecting Musketeer and make the highlight film, and Chris is a hater
  • Hoosier Hound · 2 years ago
You have Bassett in the probably starters. Do you know something, or is it hopeful guessing?
  • Big A · 2 years ago
    Hoosier Hound,

Just went with what IU had in their media notes.
  • L. Rubes · 2 years ago
I think Armon is expected to play tonight
  • Big A · 2 years ago
Just saw where the Hoosiers are only favored by two (also saw it as low as one)...very interesting.

Also read where Bassett should start.
  • Big A · 2 years ago
Armon is in the lineup and ready to go.

does anyone else think the lines in the sears center are awful? everyone gets called for steping on the line. and the BTN has got to pay attention with the cameras. we just missed an inbounds score because of it.

on a side note, as i typed this, someone else just stepped out of bounds.
  • Big A · 2 years ago
I agree, I don't like the lines at all. Do they really need 3 different three-point lines? Also agree that the camera work by the BTN is awful.
  • Big A · 2 years ago
This is a new record for putting up a new net.
  • Hoosier Hound · 2 years ago
Is it really this hard to hang a net? I've done it a few times before, never taken me more than two minutes.
  • jaime gongora · 2 years ago
man we really sucked that half. there was nothing positive from that half at all.
  • L. Rubes · 2 years ago
hopefully Sampson can get these boys together
  • nealE · 2 years ago
i dunno. i think DJ needed that half. he was a monster on the boards and moved better offensively. if he has a similar 2nd half this will be his best game this year by far.
  • matt · 2 years ago
aint winning this game>.>.>> we look terrible...
  • Big A · 2 years ago
We're not out of it, just need some stops.
  • jaime gongora · 2 years ago
They have learn that they can't simply rely on Gordon. Horrible defense. They can still pull it off but something has to happen.
  • matt · 2 years ago
hasnt happened all night when we needed them... These kids needed this thought they were gonna walk through these games. TIME for reality for this team... I am OK with it will show them they need to play hard everynight
  • jaime gongora · 2 years ago
why the hell is d.j. white playing offense by the three point line? Man these kids are playing horrible. I don't care if they lose but play smart.
  • nealE · 2 years ago
see we came out playing hard. dj was having his best game. then he got his 3rd foul. DJ and gordon having 3 fouls has totally stopped us. i don't think armon is comfortable either. we just need some stops and get some rolls on some shots and we can't crawl back in.

WEEEEE LOOOOOOOK AWESOME..... OH BOYYYYYY BETTTER WAKE UP FELLAS
  • Robert · 2 years ago
Hopefully this will be "the loss" that wakes everybody up.
  • matt · 2 years ago
AGREED THIS WAS A UFFIN JOKE... Honestly they should be kinda embarassed
  • Luke · 2 years ago
I'm totally pissed they didn't even look like a team just a bunch of guys running around like they were playing a pickup game. I just hope they wake up after this and relize they are going to have to play together or there are going to be a lot more games like this, this year.
  • Robert · 2 years ago
I didn't get to see all of the game, but I still wasn't impressed with our "D" from what I did see(that element that some say wins championships)

Unfortunately, I still think we have a lot to learn since we're a younger, smaller team on average compared to others.

It should be very interesting to see how the Hoosiers rebound from this loss, Tuesday against G.Tech in our next "Challenge". Granted it is at Assembly, but we have yet to see this team react from an upset.

I'm really hurt by this game. Lets call a spade a spade. This is one of the most important basketball seasons in Indiana University history. This season will dictate weather we are a consistent top twenty program or a future national powerhouse for years to come. It's not fair to these kids that they should have that on their backs, but it's reality. With that in mind you think they would play with a sense urgency. I don't care if they lose, but just show me that you are trying your best. I saw they lacked heart and effort, and that really hurt me. I have no doubt that this team can beat anybody down the road, but wake up guys! You don't receive future awards by expecting wins, you win banners by earning them by working hard every single minute of the game. In the locker room they better think about who they want to become, and what its actually going to take to get there.

well, one thing good comes of this...sampson has plenty to teach at practice (blocking out, going after loose balls, finding your man, how to shoot into the passing lanes for steals, why its foolish to foul someone after you've already been beat and the other player is going to score and then get one, how to find your scorer instead of throwing up trash shots, how to run an offense...)

anyone else feel lost at times watching btn televised games? there was at least two times tonight (we had a number of players in foul trouble) where the ref called a foul, but the commentators didn't say who it was on and i was completely in the dark. why can't they use the same system as other networks (show the player who committed the foul and place a graphic at the bottom of the screen telling the audience how many fouls he has)? does anyone know how to make suggestions to btn? i've not even been to their site, so maybe i'll check it out.

    jaime,

relax...they don't need to win a championship this year to remain among the nation's elite programs...they have a lot of history behind them already. if they don't win this year, their time will come again...and i promise...they won't close the iu basketball program because they didn't win it all this year. which season was the most important iu season in its history is arguable, but i think becoming the only team to ever go the entire season (and post season) without a loss stands out as the highlight...and some would say their first title is probably the most significant.
