Having watched most of his high school career and later living next door to Sherron at IU, the only thing more surprising than his tragic fall in Bloomington is his path towards personal redemption. Good for him. (& many thanks for getting me & my roommate, both 18-yr-olds, into Mars all those nights)(Mars=Axis=Walnut St. Tap=Jake's=B-town's most underdeveloped bar).

Actually Chronic, the exact line for it is:
(Jake's = Mars = Axis = Walnut St. Tap = Jake's). It started as Jake's and they never should have changed the name. Now, once they bring back Hooligans, and the Ye Olde Regulator, we'll be in business.

As for Sherron, glad things seem to be turned around for him.

I wonder if Steve Alford has commented on this situation? Check out the last line in this Bio on Steve. I never heard that before.......

For the 1984 Summer Olympics Alford was selected to play on the U.S. Basketball Team, coached by Bob Knight. Alford averaged 10.3 points per game. He and his teammates went on to win the gold medal. In this game Alford played with Michael Jordan, Patrick Ewing, Sam Perkins, Chris Mullin and Wayman Tisdale. Alford has recounted that during the Olympic training camp, Michael Jordan bet him $100 that he would not last four years on Knight's Indiana team.

Go Sherron!!! Glad to hear of this great opportunity of head coaching. He's truly an Indiana basketball hero. If I may add, on a more personal level, I know Sherron personally. What a wonderful man he has become. I'm so proud of him. I attended an Adidas camp and helped him there and got to see him work with the young kids. I was very impressed with the drills and lessons he shared and his down to business style. Very glad day for me to see him coaching. Rock on, Ron!!
