Inside the Hall: Five Big 10 newcomers to watch in 2007-2008

  • Eric · 2 years ago
Chris Allen is the kid to watch for from MSU. Lucas will make a bigger impact down the road but Chris will make an immediate impact in this conference. Bank on it. Kid has unlimited range.

I am gonna go with Allen from MSU as well. And its Corperryale "Manny" Harris. Not Corperryal.
  • Big A · 2 years ago
Fellas, thanks for the correction on Coperryale. Sorry about that. Interesting take on Allen. This incoming class from the Big 10 is so loaded, you can't go wrong with any of these guys. Should make for a very interesting and fun year to watch.

Michigan State appears to be reloading once again. It looks like they have hit the elite status in recruiting.

Eric (E.J.) Gordon will step onto the court at Assembly Hall in Bloomington and immediately become the best scorer in the Big 10. IU's rise back to the elite of college basketball be be directly tied to All-American potential and skill level of Indianapolis Freshman Eric Gordon at Indiana.

If summer leagues are any indication, I have to agree that Allen is the favorite among the incoming Spartans to have the most significant impact this season in the B-10 as a freshman.

E'twaun Moore is screwing up going to Purdue. Indiana's Eric Gordan and him could dominate. We would win for sure. Good luck for IU with a new coach, too!
  • Big A · 2 years ago
Sounds like a lot of you Spartan fans are high on Chris Allen. We're actually working on a feature about the Spartans and are going to talk to a beat writer that covers the team. I'll make a note to ask him about Mr. Allen.
  • Chris · 2 years ago
Yep, you gotta check out Allen. He is lighting it up in the summer leagues in Lansing. He is going to be a very special player. The Spartans are going to be loaded once the 3 freshmen learn to play defense (an Izzo requirement to see the floor).

Why do you waste your time with this blog?
  • Big A · 2 years ago

Apparently you're interested enough to read it. That's a good enough reason for me.

sources say purdue has the best freshman class in the league.

keep an eye on Mister Painta.
  • madtowntom · 2 years ago
Jon Leuer may have the most potential of the three incoming Badger freshman, but he will not have anywhere near the impact of Keaton Nankival in the next two years. In fact there is a good possibility he will redshirt next year because there is very little PT available for him.

Eric Gordon....who the hell is that? lmao
  • tdmd · 2 years ago
Greg Hill should be on this list. Going to have a huge impact in Big 10 play.

Painter got a great class because Mike Davis had already quit recruiting....he'll never get class that good again. Write it down....

I like Gordon at IU and Manny at UM but MSU is bringing in 3 very good freshman. My friends in E.Lansing are saying Allen's summer play is very impressive but don't forget about Durrell Summers. Many are saying Summers has the highest ceiling. MSU will be loaded over the next several years- especially with Roe coming in next year.
