Guards must get back on defense even if we play man to man!! I wonder but
you can bet Sampson had them watching tape for a long time on
this and other teaching items. Its only one game and a lot of new
players. They will get better probably starting tomorrow night.
Go Team

Re: Film Session: Transition Defense (or lack thereof)

Luckily Big A you didn't breakdown the pick and roll's that we got beat on a 100 times...please please GT get here now so I can forget about this game.

Re: Film Session: Transition Defense (or lack thereof)

There should be a warning not to read this entry right after eating your lunch! Great Job BigA this really shows how slow some of the guys were playing.
X had all 5 players on their half of the court just as our 3 and 4 was crossing over the half court line.

I would like to see a breakdown on the number of seconds it took each player to get back on defense. GRR!

My only question, where was Gordon at the start of this play? Did he have a jump on everyone getting back on defense. I notice that Ellis might of had an advantage on some of our guys but that doesn't explain why all of the X players made it back in good time. Grr!!
