Williams is fortunate that Lawson and Hansbrough aren't playing in the NBA this year. The real gems are guys who are "that good" and who are willing to stay with a program for three or four years. They're hard to find.
Under different circumstances, a guy like EJ might have been able to carry a team to the Final Four, but who knows?
I'm hoping that Crean has good judgment on these matters.

mmmmm Jerry.....I want to say that, but Jordan was my this years Verdell Jones....he started out a little shaky but got better as the season progressed..I really wanted him to stay........however I am of the cloth now, Crean should only recruit guys 6'9 or taller for the next 5 years !!

Now he very well may be pissed is coach is gone and I feel for the kid but hopefully he hangs in there........

The sad thing is NC is winning them now it`s been to long for the Hoosiers. Most kids don`t even remember when Knight was at IU. We will get there I hope soon.

It takes 4 years IF you have something to build from. IU will take longer. We are no starting with much!!!

After watching that national championship game last night (north carolina ties IU with 5 national championships) it really makes me realize we need some players now. We (crean and company) really need to land this kid. Lets start building for that 6th championship now. As you saw with North Carolina - most of the time it takes 4 years to get there.

heard on wnde here in Indy, JMV said two things....
One the local guys on NC's local radio told him TZ is NOT happy at UNC and it is a situation that they really don't need Tyler, so if he leaves fine....they have ed davis....

Second.....Crean was on and said....he wouldn't be surprised if there were major changes in his team next year.....what I got from this, is someone else is thinking about transferring....

If Tyler leaves UNC, I would almost bet he is headed to IU, I think he is good friends with Capo and Hulls, both Indiana elite guys...

Off subject, but I was at the Thunder-Pacer game last night in OKC and was delighted to be in the house for DJ's NBA debut on his home court. He looks great (leaner and more defined). He was very efficient on the offensive end. I think he went 5-6 for 12 pts. and grabbed a couple boards. His mid-range jumper is looking good. Beautiful start to what is sure to be a long and illustrious pro career.

he and his dad have already stated that Lville and IU will no doubt be looked at. However PU and Syracuse could be in it as well.
