Good, Bad and Ugly: Loyola (Md.)
Second, I wonder about the source of his anger? Is it the losing? Did he think the team layed down in the second half? Did Wisconsin's play push some buttons? Was it the refs? All of the above? What do you guys think?
Lastly, in the first half Wisconsin's offense was bad and we were able to get some boards and convert in transition. In the second half, the Badgers were much more efficient offensively and we didn't get so many open court opportunities and we were unable to do anything against their organized half court defense.
1. When TP is out high on the zone or hedges on picks he weakens the D.
- not yet quick / agile enough to cover the ground
- leaves Roth, Story or WIlliams down low on a 6'9"+ player with Taber
- makes it impossible for TP to block anybody out on D rebs
2. When TP out high on offense he weakens the offense
- we donot cut hard enough, TP does not roll hard enough and we donot hit the roller with a pass early enough to make this offense work
- TP is a one handed passer and not good enough to center the offense around up high
- TP cannot drive or shoot mid range to create offense for himself
I love Prichard but IMO he is not being deployed to greatest effectiveness on O or D.
We got to be happy with the glimpse of VJ3 to come however
Pritchard has hit a wall. Maybe 5 games ago. I'm not sure we need to run more offense through him or not. Great players find a way to score. He's been a pleasant surprise for this team and will be even better next year.
Coach Crean will be fine.
