I'd love to see it go back to the neutral site. I love seeing the place packed with fans from both teams split down the middle. its a great enviorment

Speaking as an IU fan living in the Louisville area, I really hope they return to playing in Indy and Louisville. While I occasionally make it back to Bloomington for games, having a local game to attend would be really nice.

The only downside to the switch, I suppose, would be increased visibility for the Wildcats in the Indy area, simply from a recruiting standpoint. Granted, UK is a national brand, but given that the talent level in Indy is strong, while Louisville is rather weak, the benefits of IU being more visible in Louisville are not equal to the benefit UK gets from getting more exposure in Indy.

Also, if I recall, part of the deal that the Louisville Arena Authority got snookered into by the University of Louisville includes provisions that UofL gets 1st choice at home dates, and other events have to ask the Cards to remove their banners and signage when using the court. Any chance they rig their schedule and accommodations to make things difficult for other schools to use the arena?

Brian your visibility point is excellent, as I believe Pitino has taken advantage of it the times he has played in Indy.....I believe at the wooden classic. I don' t want to have to fight KY, L'Ville, and PU here on our turf......PU is enough.

I'm on the opposite end on this. I like the on campus games and the 'home' court advantage. I would love for Cal to walk in AH and see a sea of red and white awaiting him. The neutral court games are good, but that element is missing of that true true home court. I don't want a KY fan to have a chance at a ticket as they would on a neutral site.

Can someone verify this? Doesn't KY come to bloomington at least this year. I believe we went there last year?

UK does come to Assembly Hall this year, and I have to agree with Kelin. I actually kind of like the home campus games. I see the allure of the neutral site games but the visibility point is a good one. I'm looking forward to this year's game @ IU. With UK adding Cousins & Wall & Coach Cal, it'll make for a big time environment...

also, on a side note, as far as scheduling goes, I'd like to see Crean get a few more "in-state" games. I think we should be making a point to play Butler & Notre Dame (I know, last year, Maui) & even Indiana State or Evansville or Valpo. (And maybe even schedule Dane Fife's IU-FW squad.) Those games could be non-conference fillers for us and would really create some solid ties for us. I know we'd probably have to throw them a bone & travel now and then, but that might not be a drawback. I just like us to play all the teams we can in the area that aren't in the B-10, even schools like Southern Illinois or L'Ville...

aeriaIM.....I have been saying for a couple of years, bring back the IU classic or some form of it that could be held in Indy on a friday and saturday with IU, Butler, PU, IUPUI, ND, E'ville, Valpo etc......We have a ton of in state talent at these schools, with good coaches, and it would be a hugh draw for the state.....a slate of IU v Butler, PU v ND, etc etc...would go over real well .............

Also.....I am making plans now to somehow, someway, scalper or otherwise to get IU v KY tickets this year..........I want Cal to wish he never walked into AH....
