Inside the Hall: Commercial Appeal predicts Angel Garcia to Memphis

Yeah..I can buy some of the stuff the Memphis guy is saying but the assistant coach stuff is not that big of a deal. The style of play with IU is forced to change with the talent they have this year and next, as spoken by KS. Secondly, if he has pro desires, they will find him, just as they will find EJ, DJ, and more to come, not to mention IU will be on NATIONAL TV far more than Memphis this year and next. Finally, I think Garcia has seen what Indiana has to offer as a "state" in basketball and something I would believe he is comfortable with continuing at Indiana. For every Shawnee Williams, there is a Dejuan Wagner....Angel we have NO ONE at PF after DJ leaves...the spot is yours

This is for anyone, this recruiting stuff is interesting for me....according to a website I visit often....IU has high interest in ...THREE power forwards...

Angel Garcia, Tyler Zeller, and Kevin Jones! OK, I would like to believe if ONE commits, the chances are slim we land another ....

I still like Garcia over them both, but would love Tyler Zeller and Garcia. I don't know much about Kevin Jones, but two Indiana kids in this class would make a LOT of people happy and ofcourse P_ss PU off.

Recruiting is definitely a fun aspect of this sport. As you said, I don't know much about Kevin Jones, but the little I can see about him on the web--it looks like we should be pretty ecstatic if we land any one of these three.

I have met Coach Martin from Memphis and my wife and I had extensive conversations with him at an Alumni Assocation Party here in Dallas. If the recruiting of Garcia is being handled by Coach Martin, he is an out going and impressive person who can relate well to players. He is from the NY area and was an Assistant Coach at St. John's before coming to Memphis. Memphis also has former NBA player Rod Strickland on the coaching staff.
