Inside the Hall: Comcast failing miserably at viral marketing

i've always been on comcast's side, just because i like their argument more. maybe it's just time thats done this, but ever since i saw the home and garden or the food network angle, i am starting to see the BTN's side. no one watches H&G. not even my aunt who does nothing but work in her garden. the BTN would have a larger viewer base hands down. this whole situation is getting kind of dumb though. posing as big ten fans? come on comcast, i think it was clear you had the edge, and now you want to sink yourself on something as dumb as that? get real.

We'll know this site will have officially made it big when we can get a Comcast intern to post that same comment in this section.

I am sorry, but anyone with a half of a brain can see that comcast is fighting a losing battle to increase their profit margin. The BTN has allways said the price to carry the channel is negotiable so the firm $1.10 price argument brought out by Comcast to place the BTN on the sports tier is bunk. Comcast is all about offering crap on the basic packages that nobody watches to entice the customer to upgrade to actually get channels that interesting. I was a longtime Comcast customer until the BTN situation. I wrote an email to the regional director of Comcast stating how pathetic their position is and I will take my $100+/month subscription elsewhere. This situation finally pushed me over to direct-tv. To me the only way Comcast will finally see it through the sports fans eyes is if the customers start walking away. I am sorry, but this is a sad situation the cable industry has gotten into with a monopoly on many local cable areas.
