Inside the Hall: Bennie Seltzer rockin’ the candy striped pants in Vegas

  • fergrad · 1 year ago
Can't say I know much about Seltzer, but if he's trying to make a favorable impression on the Indiana fan base, consider it done. I don't know how much it will help with recruiting, but its great to see the coaches out there with the gear on!

LOVE IT!!! Anyone else catch the article on peegs about Seltzer's connection to Christian Watford?! It was a good one and I highly recommend it ...
  • pacino · 1 year ago
can u post a link 4 the article about his connection with Watford
  • hoosier07 · 1 year ago
it is a peegs article -- have to be a member to read the whole thing i believe ... long story short, Bennie is from Birmingham, AL and is good friends with an important "mentor" of Watford's ... Seltzer was recruiting him at Marquette, and his father said "With him being from Birmingham, I do feel a little more comfortable with him. We know a lot of the same people." Sounds like a good start to me!!

Demling had positive things to say about Creek. Also noted he transferred from Kent to Hargrave for this year.......also good........Demling seems to be covering alot of ground in Vegas

Oh how sweet is that pic. Go Benny!!
  • JerryCT · 1 year ago
Lets pray that he either stays out of the casinos or changes into carolina blue when at the craps table...........or...............maybe purdue black & gold

There should be a "Wear-your-candy-striped-warm-up-pants-to-work Day" for all!

Creek killed it in the first game scored 29 points hit 4 threes and was 5-6 from the line........an article talks about him transferring to Hargrave and is going to be playing with a good friend of his named Chris Braswell who was originally a Georgetown commit but is reclassifying to the 2009 class and is high on Indiana. Something i really liked about Creek he had a quote saying "School is always first, you cant slack off on school to go play basketball." this was in response to why he missed so many spring activities he was concentrating on his studies which i think is a good sign for this kid.

    Keep it up TC

    good stuff....

nice to hear ...both on the court and the quote...
  • pacino · 1 year ago
Chris Braswell would be a huge steal! Hopefully Crean and Creek can pull him on board. He would be a huge addition for the team. He would really bring some depth to the front court.
  • Alex · 1 year ago
Agree with you on this. Braswell would be a solid pickup and the fact that he's playing AAU and at Hargrave next season with Creek can only help the Hoosiers.

Can we take Jobe's scholarship away next year when he sucks it up?
  • TomCoverdaleIUHero · 1 year ago
The thing about Jobe is he is going to be a back up in there to play defense he is 7 foot and 245 pounds so he is huge and plays physical which will translate will into the Big Ten I think Jobe is a huge steal. The biggest question for me is how is Matt Roth going to work in the Tom Crean style offense i guess he will just stand around the three point line and wait for people to drive and kick it to him cause i dont think this dude can drive the ball but I have really never seen him play......just that youtube video
  • JerryCT · 1 year ago
I want Roth to succeed but I am right there skeptical with you after seeing Jones vs Roth on the tube.

Jobe might have made a little difference against UCONN or against a team like Gtwn last year. We do actually need him even if he just gets in the way on defense
  • TomCoverdaleIUHero · 1 year ago
exactly my thoughts on it Pritchard Capo and Elston when they r there wont have to worry about defending the other teams centers like DJ did this year it will make a great difference Jobe is being compared to the former Marquette player Ousmane Barro a player who did what he had to do
  • Hoosiergirl · 1 year ago
Hey, don't know why you aren't going for Jobe too much. Crean obviously seen a bunch of potentual or he wouldn't have gotten him. Jobe even gets an entire season to get used to the team/coach and get built up to where TC wants him.

You know what, I might just ask my girlfriend to buy a pair of candy striped pants. grrrrrrr baby ( too much info?).
  • pacino · 1 year ago
As much as I want to agree I can't. It seems as if Jobe was kinda taken out of desperation and as a lure for Negedu. He is the last thing we need. We didn't need to suck up a scholorship to some guy that is a project and will only be there 2 years. Again, im just tryin to keep it real! I hope he does well.

Yeah man way too much! Keep it in ur pants.
