Inside the Hall: Around the Hall: Hulls, Jobe, Negedu and more

I read all these articles and did not learn anything new from what most folks have been discussing the last few days. If I had to predict I guess Negedu goes to Memphis, announcing in 2 weeks after his visits , and Sutton to 'Nova . This would not be a negative reflection on IU or Crean in either case.

Since most LOI's are done now its about time to coach 'em up.

In the mood for predicting I sense the following:

PG - Dumes sharing w Jones
SG - Crawford , Dumes giving him a breather now and then
    C - Pritchard w Jobe giving him a breather
PF/SF - Rotating lineup w Taber , McGee, Williams and Jobe depending on the situation

I really donot see Roth in the mix unless he plays "D" really well. In thinking it through I really really miss a C so a) Pritchard could play PF or a PF so McGee could play SF.

Unless Negedu comes to IU I think TC has his work cut out to get this team into the NCAA

This means big minutes from Crawford, Pritchard and Dumes with SF/PF brutally competitive for PT unless somebody surprisingly dominates.

    PG - Jones
    SG - Crawford
    SF - Williams
    PF - McGee
    C - Pritchard

    6th man - Dumes
    7 - Taber
    8 - Roth
    9 - Jobe

Keep in mind that we will get very few points w/o Dumes in the game as defenses focus on Crawford. Jones is good but 3 frosh carrying the team ? I doubt it but hope you are right

i would think that taber would start in front of mcgee or pritchard.

Taber is fine if all you need is a screener and he's matched up with someone with a little ability as he has.

Last year he looked half way decent because the only player really playing for the team and with passion was DJ. He doesn't move well and can't/doesn't shoot. All teams had to do was double off him. Maybe if he sheds some baby fat, tones up, and gets a knee brace that fits...I maybe ok with seeing him on the floor on a regular basis. Right now I'll go with the blind pick of Pritchard and McGee. Maybe/hopefully I'm wrong.

I see Maurice Sutton ending up at Villanova because he raved about how he love his visit and Coach Jay Wright while only saying the IU visit was just “Awright.”

Emmanuel Negedu will probably follow ex-AZ Assistant Pastner who recruited him for AZ and is now at Memphis. The only hope IU has with Negedu is if he comes to Bloomington because he has familiarity here because of his AAU Bloomington Team and/or because a fellow African Jobe has already committed to IU.

Well like somebody said to me Emmanuel Negedu is like finding money on the sidewalk....hopefully he does come to IU....it would be a great last minute find that would send raise the stock in the program faster....I like him because from what I've seen he plays bigger than what he is. I'm sure Tom Crean will do all he can to get him and with all that factors surrounding IU that would interest Negedu (playd AUU for elite, Jobe is his friend, had interest in IU anyhow) we are right up there with Memphis.

As for Sutton, I think signing Jobe eased the pain a bit on that. Jobe and Sutton are both projects. Jobe is a two year deal.........and probably a better choice for a "quick fix" to the big man problem we have for next year. Sutton would be a nice addition and would probably pan out to be a solid rotating center by the time he was a Junior, but if we don't get him that leaves us scholarships for the future. We can get him now...or we can get one of the best center in the country who isn't a project a few years down the road.

I have faith in Tom Crean. I'm happy with the fact that players aren't running from IU due to the recent problems surrounding the program. If we are competeing with Memphis (Negedu) and beating Duke out on players (Hulls) I would say IU and Tom Crean have a great future together. Having scholarships for the future could bring us the nations best as Crean proves he's shaping the program the way he invisions it.

Boy, I sure would love to see E. Negedu come to IU. I really believe it would increase our talent. So far, I dont see why he would not start right away. That has got to be a great reason to come to IU. Plus the connection with Jobe....

    Possible

    PG- Dumes/ Jones
    SG- Crawford/ Roth
    SF- McGee/ Williams
    PF- Negudu/ Pritchard
    C- Taber/ Jobe

I really look for alot from N. Williams, he seems like a solid player. I am still uncertain about Pritchard, I have never seen any tape of him.

my buddy saw him on espn and wasn't very impressed, but I've herd he is a great rebounder.....works hard.....and is a good post to post passer....I think he will be solid and get better over time
