Inside the Hall: Are the Detroit Pistons targeting D.J. White?

DJ would definitely be a good fit for Detroit, they have some big men that are getting older (notably Antonio McDyess), so DJ would get a year to work on his game and probably get sporadic playing time for a quality team, and then he would be expected to come in and contribute after a year of seasoning. Detroit has a similar player in Jason Maxiell, who coming out of college was a good rebounder and decent shooter, and he has become a very productive player for them. DJ would do well in Detroit

DJ would be lucky and he deserves it if Detroit picked him in the draft. If Dale Davis can play in the NBA for several years than DJ should do very well - he can rebound and defend as well as Davis did and he can certainly shoot better.

I'd love to see him be a piston

I'm happy for Dj if it's true. The only two hoosiers I ever felt sorry for were DJ and AJ Moye. Those two were warriors and deserved better. I think he can become a solid role player in the NBA.

One thing we do know - he'll work his ass off.

Good God...Is that DJ White's music???? He's got a chair!

Ugh, as a Pacers fan, I hope it's not true, but it would be a great fit for DJ. Best of luck to him!

If he's skipping Orlando, he must have a very good reason such as a fairly solid guarantee from a team to pick him in round 1. I don't care who takes him, I just want to see him rewarded for all the effort and hard work he has put in. Good luck DJ and thanks for everything you did at IU.

we would love it if he became a piston because the fort wayne mad ants are affliated with the pistons and we then would have a chance for dj to be playing in the fort for the mad ants if the pistons felt he needed more development via the nbdl league.

Good for D.J. I will be pulling for him no matter what team he lands on. However I'd love to see the Grizzlies pick him up in the second round so I could go see him play in my home town.

What are you thinking? DJ isn't near the player Dale Davis is/was. DJ cannot run the floor. He is not nearly the athlete Dale Davis is. Maxielle excels because of his ability to run the floor.
